Reconnecting

So, I have recently learned that it is never too later to make up for past failings. Or if not make up for then at least explain why I did what I did.
I had a friend once and I completely failed her. Probably at the worst time I could choose, to boot. But, maybe there is light in this darkness.
Is it possible to trust me again?
Maybe in baby steps.
